The Tommies were a blip on the NIT screen as Seattle handled them fairly easily. There were 21 turnovers and 22% 3 pt shooting which was a wide variation of their regular season.

They probably got called for all the holds, grabs, and generally non-basketball plays that they make on defense, that the Summit League officials seem to think are just fine, as long as you are wearing purple.

Sorry if I rant about them too much. I hate how they play. Their defense is foul first, foul second, and bitch about every call. And their offense is mostly high screen for a pick and pop with our big guy, and then we just play one on one with our NIL paid for talent driving to the hoop. There are less sets and movement from St. Thomas than any other team in the league.

That means that everyone on the 1st and 2nd All-Summit teams are gone though graduation and the portal. One of the Reaching the Summit podcast guys predicted all conference teams for next season and he had Sayler and Wilkinson on the 1st team and Garry 2nd team, with Sayler as POY. Subject to lots of change though after portal additions. Right now the Jacks and St.Thomas would have to be the picks to win the conference with the returning starters they have.
