Kansas City, Mo. - UMKC women's basketball coach Bo Overton announced, today, his immediate resignation as the head coach with the Kangaroo women's basketball program to pursue an opportunity as the General Manager and Head Coach with the Chicago Sky of the WNBA.
"We're sad to see Bo leave UMKC, but this is a great opportunity for him in the coaching profession," said UMKC Interim Athletics Director Rick Anderson. "We wish Bo the best of luck and thank him for his contributions. The fact that the WNBA and the Chicago Sky pursued Coach Overton is indicative of his leadership in the current direction of the UMKC women's basketball program." . . . (read more)
