Oral Roberts Favored to Claim 10th Straight Mid-Con Baseball Title
ELMHURST, Ill. — After claiming nine consecutive Mid-Continent Conference Championship crowns, Oral Roberts is the preseason favorite to win its 10th straight conference title as voted on by the league’s six coaches. The Golden Eagles (25 points) were a unanimous selection after garnering five first-place votes (coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams). Western Illinois (20 points) finished second in the preseason voting, followed by Oakland (15 points, one first-place vote), Southern Utah (13), Centenary (11) and Valparaiso (6). . . . (read more)
