Walsh and Nagy Join Gents Basketball Staff
SHREVEPORT—Centenary men’s basketball coach Rob Flaska has announced the hiring of assistant coaches Adam Walsh and Joe Nagy. The two coaches have already joined the Gents staff and fill the positions vacated by former assistants Bobby Taylor and Jud Kinne.
Walsh comes to Centenary after successful stints at Paris Junior College (Texas), Odessa College (Texas), and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He spent the 2006-07 season as an assistant to head coach Ross Hodge at Paris where he was in charge of recruiting, post skill development, and the strength and conditioning program among other duties. . . .
Nagy arrives in Shreveport after two years as the Director of Basketball Operations at UC Santa Barbara. Prior to his time with the Gauchos, he spent several seasons as a successful high school coach. He was the first-ever head coach at Hercules High School (Calif.) and led Berean Christian High School (Calif.) to its first 20-win season in recent years. He also served as an assistant at both De La Salle and Clayton High School in California. His camp experience includes clinics at Duke and North Carolina. . . . (read more)
