SOUTHERN UTAH TO ADD WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL IN 2009
CEDAR CITY, Utah – July 17, 2007 – Southern Utah University Athletic Director Ken Beazer announced today that the University will add women’s volleyball to begin competition in 2009. The addition of volleyball and women’s golf that will tee off this year will bring the total number of intercollegiate sports at SUU to 17.
The decision to add women’s volleyball came after a unanimous vote by the board of trustees.
“The addition of women’s volleyball is an exciting component of our overall strategic plan to increase and improve athletic participation opportunities,” Beazer said of the latest planned addition. . . . (read more)
