SDSU 6-1
USD 6-2
NDSU 4-3
Denver 4-4
ORU 3-4
FW 3-4
Omaha 2-5
WIU 1-6
Yotes are 0-1 on the second half of conference and Denver is 1-0. Only 3 teams over .500 for first half of conference. There is a jam of teams in the 3 through 6. It is likely the second half may reflect the first half and I am not sure how the jam will break as those teams are the least consistent compared to the top and bottom. The yotes illustrated today how tough the road game can be. The Jackrabbits are 3-1 on the road on the first round. They have ORU, Denver, and Ft Wayne left. USD was 2-0 on the road for the first half with WIU, NDSU, ORU, and SDSU remaining after the loss to Denver. There are not too many gimmees for either team.

This poll was before Tuesday's game. I wonder were we are now after our big loss?

Whenever I catch myself saying they shouldn't consider Gonzaga a "mid-major," I look at their enrollment (7501). It is amazing what that school has been able to do on the national scene. But then again, that is what can happen when you basically focus on one sport.

Jackrabbits stay at #6 and the yotes move to #9. Wright State is #25. Mo State is #16.

Re: Summit MBB 2017-18
Wednesday is really shaping up to be a big game! If the Jacks win, they will likely control their position of first until the SLT. If the Yotes win, it will clearly be a two team race.
I'm hoping our hot shooting remains and we play physical and fast with them. Since Hurst broke his hand earlier this month, they are down to a seven man rotation. Nick Fuller and Brandon Armstrong are both averaging about 15 minutes/game in conference play. The other five are all averaging near 30 minutes or more per game.

SDSU 5-0
USD 5-1
FW 3-3
ORU 3-4
NDSU 2-3
DU 2-4
Omaha2-4
WIU 1-4
Bison have 2 home games against Omaha & WIU to get above .500. Mastodons need to win at Frost(Pork Classic) to get above .500. Jacks and yotes play for first place on Wednesday. 4 teams are definitely below .500 for the first half of the conference play. Leathernecks go to Denver and Fargo to finish which may be tough to win on road. Closing on the halfway point certainly looks like it was called with SDSU & USD to be in the lead.

NDSU & ORU may not be as good as thought and Ft Wayne has found another win. Coyote/Jackrabbits Showdown is the show next week.
