New Jersey is still in the east but the "Great West" sounded better than the Orphan Athletic Conference.

The Conference of Misfit Toys, featuring ND, SD, NJIT, Charlie-in-the-box...

Is this really any different than Conference USA, except on a smaller scale. A conference designed for schools with no where else to go.
