Jina Johansen Named Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Augustana College Director of Athletics Bill Gross today announced the hiring of Jina Johansen as the Vikings' new assistant women's basketball coach.
Johansen joins head coach Dave Krauth's staff after spending the past 2 seasons as a graduate assistant coach at South Dakota State University.
Prior to beginning her coaching career at South Dakota State, Johansen enjoyed a successful collegiate playing career at the University of Nebraska.
As a graduate assistant at South Dakota State, Johansen assisted with coaching the guards and handled many of the team’s day-to-day operations, including travel. In her two years with the Jackrabbits, the team posted a 44-15 record and reached the quarterfinals of the Women's NIT in 2007. . . . (read more)
