I was watching the Mississippi State University and Clemson University in the College Baseball Super Regional Today. The Super Regional is hosted by Mississippi State on their home field and I noticed a lot of cow bell ringing from the crowd. It is my understanding that the artificial noise makers are not allowed at NCCA sanction events. Does anyone know the rule as read in the NCAA rules? Are these rules sport specific? For example, allowed for baseball and not allowed for basketball? Just curious who knows the rules and interpretation of them. How are the enforced? Can a "home" team really be penalized for this? During basketball games at SDSU, it is my understanding that SDSU could receive a technical foul for ringing the cow bell during play.
