Thunderbirds brought out the sticks today. From the Argus:

Southern Utah had 22 hits, including a pair of home runs by Joe Goldenberg, to defeat South Dakota State 11-5 Thursday in the opening game of a four-game Summit League baseball series in Cedar Falls, Utah.

Sam Pieczynski had his four-game winning streak end for SDSU (21-12, 6-3) as he surrendered all 11 runs in 6 2/3 innings. The senior right-hander struck out three and walked one. Billy Stitz was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle as he ended the day 4-for-5.

Hated to have that happen, after losing the last two against Oakland...bit of a bummer. Since SUU beat ORU 11-0, I guess I will take some solace in that...road games are tough! I've looked everywhere to try to find out early what the scores are, but no luck so far. The SUU page was pretty quick at getting yesterday's game posted, so will try there.

Way to go Jacks! We needed that one. Have home stands against Centenary and ORU, which will be tough, but gives us a chance, as we only have one more on the road, against NDSU, and then finish with Western Illinois.
