Spring football season is here, it looks like according to this Tweet from the Brookings Register:
Just stopped by the Dykhouse Student Athlete Center to pick up a spring football schedule. Spring Camp breaks the Huddle Friday afternoon.
    I wonder:
    - what the two-deep will look like after spring camp
    - how those recovering from injuries are doing
    - what redshirt freshmen will turn some heads
    - Eidness' effect on the offensive game
    - what defense will be like after losing some key senior players

-My 2-Deep Prediction, The players in CAPS are retaining their same spot from last year.

      QB - SO O'BRIEN / JR Thomas
HB - SR MINETT / SR DUFFY / SO KOOL
TE - SR BEYER / SR SHEEHAN
TE - SR COCHART / JR KAVANAUGH
WR- SO Rollin / SR Mitchell
WR- JR Gant / RFR Tiefenthaler
LT - JR Dominguez / SO Luethje
      LG - SR Ludemann / ??
      C - SR MCKNIGHT / SO CASTLE
      RG - SO Castle / ??
RT - SO FICK / SO Luethje

DE - SR THOMPSON / JR BOYER
DT - SR BASHAM / SO MINK
DT - SR Fisher / SO Fitzsimmons/RFR Douglas
DE - JR STEFFEN / JR WOOD
OLB - SR DOMINO / JR Kool
MLB - SO Tracy / JR Lien
OLB - JR Feller / SO Shafrath
CB - SR BRODIE / JR MATTHEWS
CB - SR PARNELL / JR Jackson
SS - SR KJERSTAD / SO LUXA
FS - JR WISE / SR JESKE

PK - SR REIFENRATH / JR HARRIS
      P - SR PRIDDY

      - From memory, I thought that Parnell was to be ready for Fall Ball and OL Parker is out of spring with an injury but will be back for the season.

      - R-Freshman that we've heard good things about.
      S E. Koehlmoos
      OL A. Parker, B. Witzmann, J. Kage
      CB P. Brown
      LB J. Weiss, A. Peete
      WR T. Tiefenthaler

-I'm not familiar with Eidness enough to comment on his talents, but adding someone who has head coaching experience and is knowledgeable of the Jacks program can't hurt.

-The defense should still be one of the best in the conference, if not the FCS. Still alot of upperclassmen and good depth. Playmakers at each level DL Steffen, LB Domino, & DB Kjerstad.

The biggest question marks for me are the O-Lineman. I'm not sure which young guys have promise and I'm not sure on some players if they are guards or tackles.

I'm pretty sure Ludemann is not playing this year but instead is graduating early.

I believe this would be his 6th year if he played because he got a medical clearance so I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on.

I'm not so sure he would be a starter anyways since there's been opportunities in the past for him to take a starting spot but it just hasn't happened for him.

If he is moving on, than I wish him luck in his future and thank him for his perseverance. I'm sure most people who read this board are aware of his story and that he was injured in a severe car accident before his started college.

From Terry V's Twitter about SDSU's Pro Day today:

              http://twitter.com/TerryVandrovec

              Teams there were:
The Colts, Steelers, Browns, Dolphins, Saints, Bills, Vikes, 49ers, Falcons, Panthers, Cowboys + Broncos

Batten, Knips, Bender, Johnson performed as well as expected and Fox opened some eyes with a great showing.

Hopefully we'll be able to get some numbers. I know in the past that information hasn't really been reported. I'm guessing Fox ran a better 40 time than expected.

I wouldn't be surprised if you start to hear some buzz about Chris Johnson. He had some seriously eye popping workout numbers when I was there. The dude is an athletic freak.

Good thread. Hey I heard O'Brien was going to throw for the pro day. Did he and if so how did he look? I hope all the guys did real well and helped themselves. One more question, does anyone think that batten moved up a round or did he simply seal is current status? Thanks

Photo taken today looking north across the field at the Dykhouse Center. Grass is starting to green up. Lines on the practice fields are painted, snow's melted, and it looks like great weather this week to practice...

Yeah, all of them! Just show up, park along side the Performing Arts Center, and watch from the South side of the double crown...

What is the date of the Spring game?
One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.
