  • 2011 Recruits

Not sure if a thread has been started. Came across this from Arizona rivals.

The 2011 linemen class in Arizona keeps showing it's strength as Chaparral's Andre Yruretagoyena reports that he added two offers today. He told Rivals.com that Colorado tonight joined South Dakota St as schools who have offered.

Makes you wonder since they got off to such a slow start, they're going to try to put some offers on the table early to players that they know are great players (and probably a few that might be out of they're reach). It probably saves recruiting dollars considering they're going to Arizona anyways to see other recruits.

Probably a smart idea. Maximizes your assets and puts your name out there early.

I added two DT's to the 2011 recruit list that were reported to have interest from SDSU. One from Wisconsin and one from Iowa.

        James Wilson

Terry mentioned that Junior Drew Kreutzfeldt of Chester, SD was on campus this week. Anybody have any info on him? I found an article that says he plays QB and Safety.

              Re: 2011 Recruits

I've seen him play...in fact it was the 75-54 track meet at Howard in the football playoffs... Chester runs a 9-man version of SDSU's offense, so I'm sure he'd be familiar with some of the terminology and formations. Lots of good speed, pretty good arm. TBH, with his speed, I'd like to see him at WR or DB.

He's a pretty good basketball player too... made third-team Class "A" All-State this year.
              I am Ed. Fear me.

I added 6'6", 280 O-Lineman, Alex Ferguson from Torono, Illinois to the list.

I wonder if he was at the pro-day. Terry V said that up to 30 recruits were at the game. It seems like the coaching staff is making more effort to get kids in for visits earlier.
