    SDSU debuted #13 in the first GPI ranking of the season. The GPI is a major factor in determining at large spots for the playoffs.

            Because they're just not very good. They lost a lot of starters last year and the replacements aren't nearly as good. They also lost players to injury.

              Are you assuming we make the playoffs and lose our first game? Otherwise, it would be hard to go 8-4 during the regular season when we only play 11 games.

                      I can't wait for tomorrow, so I did some research on how far we moved up in each of the following polls that have been updated for games played through 10/10.. Here goes:

                      Massey - from 11 to 9 = up 2 spots
                      Sagarin - from 11 to 10 = up 1 spots
                      Laz Ind - from 11 to 11 = no change
                      Born - from 8 to 9 = down 1 spot
                      Sauceda - from 13 to 8 = up 5 spots

                        Why does your post say 2008 Great West Conference Champs? We were in the Missouri Valley last year. We won it in 2007.
