There was also a picture of Tera Potts from Sturgis in today's Sturgis paper signing for Track and Field and Cross Country at SDSU. I cannot locate an on-line link for this. However, here is a link to a TV clip featuring her during basketball season:

Tera is an oustanding example of what a student athlete is and should be. She routinely placed near the top in cross country. She runs mostly 800 meters and longer in track, although, she does sometimes run a 400 meter leg in relays. She has been on several winning relay teams and has frequently medaled in the 800, 1600, and 3200. She is the type of runner who likes to build a lead during a race as opposed to one that likes to stay close and try to win with a kick at the end. She is also looking forward to trying the steeplechase. She is an A student, past president of the local chapter of the National Honor Society, and will be a featured speaker at her high school graduation ceremony this weekend. Her parents are both SDSU alumni and her brother just finished his freshman year at State.
