ORLANDO, Fla. – The South Dakota State women’s tennis team picked up another win on Friday, downing St. Joseph’s (Pa.) 5-2, at the Orlando Classic in Orlando, Fla.
The Jackrabbits dropped their matches at in the first two singles flights in No. 1 doubles, but the third through sixth singles players won, as did the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams.

Caitlin Brannen won the first set of her No. 3 singles match 6-1, and then hung on to win the second set 7-6. Nellie Bloomberg needed a third set tiebreaker, but recovered from a 3-6 setback in the first set to win the second set 7-6, and the tiebreaker 10-5.

The two tough individual wins put the Jacks over the top, to secure the win, which improves SDSU to 7-6 in dual play this season and 2-2 at the Orlando Classic.

The Jackrabbits return to action on Saturday, March 21, in St. Cloud, Minn., for a pair of duals against St. Cloud State and St. Benedict (Minn.).
