  • Chad Greenway

This doesn't really pertain to SDSU football, but I thought it was still appropriate.

The following is an email I received regarding Chad.  I don't know the Greenways but thought I would pass it on since that's what I was asked to do...

I am supposed to pass this message on to anyone who might be interested.
Greenways are having a draft party at Wermers Lounge in Mt. Vernon
starting at noon on Saturday, April 29th.  Chad will not be at the party
until after he gets drafted as he wants to share that moment with
immediate family only, and will be very nervous up to that point.  After
he gets drafted he will them come to town and be present at Wermers.
Wermers is renting another big screen and will be serving food and
drinks throughout the draft.  There is a chance that Chad will be flown
out by the team that chooses him yet that day - it just depends on who
drafts him and what their team policy is.  Hope to see you all there and
pass this on to anyone who might be interested!

    Re: Chad Greenway

I wish Mr. Greenway well in the upcoming NFL Draft. Even though, he didn't play at SDSU, he is from the same high school program (Stickney-Mount Vernon) as WR Mike Steffen.

As an Iowa fan from day one I am said to see Chad go. I hope he goes to a local team.

talking about chuck norris is the fastest way to get upperclassmen to appreciate the incoming freshmen class on campus...it's been proven.

Two SD boys playing LB for the Vikings (Greenway and Leber), that is pretty impressive. Too bad I can't stand too cheer for the Vikings.

I'm with you. I just can't get myself to cheer on the Vikings no matter who is there. I think even if they had 10 former Jacks on their team I would still struggle to cheer for them.

Other than Greenway and John Dutton, any other South Dakotans taken in the first round?

For this Viking fan, I just hope that Greenway isn't a bust like the last few LB the Vikings have drafted.

I take it you haven't seen any Iowa games over the past 2 years. Greenway was the heart of the defense since Roth has left. He is intense and will be a great player. He might not make the pro-bowl but recievers won't like to come across the middle against the Vikings.
