I don't see any USD football players listed above. I know the USD football coach stated earlier that his team lacked depth to compete at this level, but I guess they also lack top flight talent as well as depth. I thought USD had been planning this move over the last 5 years and this is all they have to show for it. You would think they could have the cupboard slightly stocked, but it looks like their cupboard is bear. So sad.

I'd call that a bitch slap! Ouch. Kind of the way I feel about the last FCS poll. The U fans can start making excuses or look at it as a potential problem. Personally, I think its probably a screw job by the voters.

How on earth did S. Utah get 5 guys on defense? I think that speaks in general for the defense in the conference.

To add salt to the wound, it is only a 5 team league. You would think you could get at least one player on the first team.

I guess SUU, who has 9 on the first team, is more talented then USD then. Oh wait, USD beat them on the road. Just like the crap polls that didn't put SDSU in the top 25 at the end of the season, these things are meaningless.

Not meaningless, just overtly political. Big difference. Can't take away from the players that genuinely deserve to be awarded.

Good point. That's what I was trying to say, basically, but wasn't able to find the right words for it.

To be frank, that's extremely embarrassing! Apparently the selection committee was not impressed with the solid shut outs of St. Ambrose, North Greenville and Southern Oregon. Nor the 70-7 foot stomp of Culver-Stockton at the hall of fame game?Missouri S&T homecoming game should have convienced a few voters? NOT! Ouch!

                      It's a given...it's a five-team league...teams like USD are bound to get someone on there! A five-team league, there shouldn't even be a 2nd team all-coference!

Let's be careful about knocking that 5-team conference. We were part of that 5-team conference not so long ago as well. Granted, we usually had a few first teamers. usd's schedule may had an impact. Going 1-3 in the conference and comparing your individual statistics that were piled up in 5-6 D2/NAIA games against other teams that played a more solid schedule to say the least, did not hold up well in the conference meeting. Of course usd, who all told us were more ready than we were to make the jump to DI, has to be dissapointed. As for me, I am not surprised.
