  • Bison Basketball Recruiting

On Minnesota Preps they are reporting two of the top Senior forwards in Minnesota will be visiting NDSU this weekend including 6'7 Emmanuel Addo and 6'8 Chris Halvorsen. Additionally they are holding a Elite Junior event that is attracting 8 top Juniors out of Minnesota including Tor Anderson, Ben Bucholz, Taylor Filipek, Jake Kreuser, Max Rosebloom, Dyami Sparks, Cole Steffan and Marshall Bjorklund. Bison continue to recruit Minnesota well.

That looks very impressive. I'm jealous. What's your guess on how long it will take NDSU to raise their portion of the cash?

I know they were waiting for the city to approve the expansion, and they are also looking to sell the naming rights, which was also approved by the city. I would guess by Jan 1st we will hear something, wouldn't be surprised at all if they are digging in the spring IMO!

The Bison are still in the mix for Sibley Minnesota's 6'8 forward Chris Halvorson. He has a 3.8 grade point average and has also been courted by Yale, Harvard, Valpo, Lehigh and UW Milwaukee.

On the women's side for the Bison the fans seem to be confused as to why NDSU only have 10 players on their roster this year. And wondering how to fill those other spots in years to come. Valid questions.

                Re: Bison Basketball Recruiting

The Bison signed three players today....

Jordan Aarberg, 6'9 PF from Rothsay, MN. Aarberg verbaled to NDSU as sophomore, which was a good thing because he received a lot of interest over the summer(OK state offered him late). He is a big kid that can move nicely but will likely redshirt so he can take a year and add some muscle.

Nate Zastrow, 6'0 PG from Manitowak, WI. Zastrow can shoot the three and drive, fierce competitor. Could see playing time right away. Zastrow choose NDSU over several D1 offers including in-state UW-Milwaukee and is ranked as the 6th best senior in Wisconsin.

Michael Felt, 6'3 G from Redwood Falls MN. Lead the state of Minnesota in scoring last year with 30.3 point per game. Felt has a great shooting stroke and should have no problems adjusting to the new three point line. He is also athletic and should compliment Zastrow well. Felt also will likely not redshirt.

The class has a lot of potential, and could make impact right away. Anyways, just thought I would tell you guys about NDSU's class. How does SDSU's class of recruits look this year?
