They interviewed Ron on "Mike and Mike" this morning on ESPN. He said that they are in Peru right now. There is too much violence in Nigeria so the trip was changed.
He said that a girl came up to 1 of his players after they gave her some shoe's and asked, "did these come from God?"
The players said, "yes!"
Then girl then said, "can God get my mom a pair, too."
I think they said that the player took off his shoes and gave them to the girl.
He said that it's disheartening to see so many people need shoes and they only have so many to give. It almost hurts more seeing people not get shoes than the happy people that get them.
They only took 15,000 pairs of shoe's because most of the shoe's were shipped across the Atlantic Ocean.
