  • Baseball History "2005"

I saw cool stat today watching ESPN today. Former Notre Dame football/ baseball player, Jeff Samardzija came in for relief today for the Cubs. This was his major league debut. What makes this cool? He as also the starting pitcher on March 19,2005 for a baseball game, Notre Dame vs. SDSU only lasting 3.2 innings as the Jackrabbits rolled the Irish 13-7.

I believe it was also SDSU's first win against a D-I opponent in baseball

That dude was throwing smoke too.....97 MPH. Guessing he didn't throw quite that hard in college, but still cool that Jacks were able to get to him.
