I'm not above noting that most schools, at any level, do not need to specify the pronunciation of their nicknames in documents like conference press releases.

But, that's our U-Dot.

The U-Dot S-Dot D-Dot Ki-Yo-Tees. (I can hear the gnashing of teeth now.)

Oh yeah. According to Wikipedia, Vermilion (mercuric sulfide) "Like all mercury compounds it is toxic." That explains a lot.
