SDSU Men's Golfer Geoff Mead Makes History

After playing well at last week's KU Invitational, junior Geoff Mead took it one step further this week by capturing medalist honors at this week's Cleveland St. Invitational and leading the team to a 4th place finish. This is the first time ever an SDSU golfer has won at the D-I level. This is another impressive accomplishment and adds to his SDSU resume which includes the lowest round ever by an SDSU golfer (last year he shot 7-under 65 in the final round of the D-I Independent Championships). SDSU has a very talented group of players on the team and some young talent that is going continue to make the team better!

Congratulations to Geoff on a huge win for SDSU! There can only be one person to win the first tournament in SDSU's history at the Division 1 level and it will always be Geoff Mead!

They can never take that away from you!
