Yes and No with agreeing with you. I too thought the Jacks were not getting much respect but it also speaks volume on how good the Great West is. From top to bottom all of the teams can beat one another on any given week.

The Great West is a loaded conference with four teams that could easily win it with a fifth team (Southern Utah) that is pretty competitive. So, I don't really have a major problem with SDSU's predicted finish. Besides, I'm sure it's good bulletin material for the locker room!

1. SDSU
2. NDSU
3. UCD
4. Poly
5. SUU

How does it feel to be the front runner?

This will all work itself out on the field which is the only place it matters. My hope is that you guys end up #2 at the end of the season. Have a good one.

Too many people on this board pay too much attention to polls. They mean nothing at this time of year. As 2002jack put it "respect will be earned on the field". A number in a poll never scared anyone. And if this team needs this as bulletin board material, well, then they have problems. I wish I could have played a schedule like this "back in the day". That's reason enough to get up every day and go compete.

Nice forum guys. Thanks for getting so many posts so quickly. I understand the replies, but living so close to Cal Poly and U.C. Davis, I get tired of all the press these guys get (rightly or wongly so). Cal Poly is a second rate subdivision school, and Davis has finally realized what happens to your recruiting once you move up in the NCAA Subdivision...no more Ken O'Briens to be had. They all go to Cal, USC, or...Insert PAC-10 Name Here. I was a student assistant during the 97 and 98 seasons at State, so my blood runs blue and gold. Just a bit hot under the collar when I see stuff like that. Glad to be aboard.
