  • Big early season match up this weekend in KC

This Saturday the UMKC Kangaroos, undefeated in Mid-Con play, host the Oral Roberts Eagle who are also undeafeated and atop the Mid-Con (and are the pre-season favorite to win it all).  The only other team that does not have a lose in conference play is Oakland and they play at Western Ill. who is having a rough time of it so far this year.

Here is a link to the Mid-Con Men's Basketball site in case you want to keep up with the rest of the "goings on":

UMKC has been right behind Oral Roberts the last two seasons, finishing second two years ago and third last year.

In the opening week of conference play, the same pattern is taking shape. UMKC, 7-11 overall, is 2-0 in the Mid-Con. Oral Roberts is 10-7 and 3-0. The fact that the two teams are the only undefeated teams left in conference games, combined with the recent history of the two programs, make this more than an ordinary game. . . . (read more)
