Caleb Green Named Mid-Major Player of the Year

For three straight seasons he was named a Mid-Major All-American. For three straight seasons he was honorable mention AP All-American. For three straight seasons he was the Player of the Year in the Mid-Continent Conference. Caleb Green finishes his career as the Mid-Major Player of the Year.

“Rarely does a player dominate his league like Caleb Green,” says collegeinsider.com and Basketball Times mid-major columnist Angela Lento. “Green had the ability to take over a game and was often unstoppable. He helped to set a new standard for Oral Roberts basketball."

Green helped ORU to three straight regular season championships in the Mid-Continent Conference and back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances (2006 and 2007). This season he averaged 20.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game as ORU posted a 23-11 overall record. . . . (read more)

I did see Caleb Green play a couple of times this year and he is a stud. *On one hand I'm glad he is not going to be playing in the league any more, but on the other hand the Jack fans will not be able to see one of, if not the best player to ever play in the Mid-Con.
