  • Wyoming wins WNIT

WNIT Championship: Wyoming 72, Wisconsin 56

Second largest WNIT crowd ever: 15,462. (largest was 18,018 in the 2001 WNIT championship, Ohio State at New Mexico)

The story from the Badgers' point of view:
    http://www.uwbadgers.com/sport_news/...;storyid=10725
Wisconsin lost their point guard to a broken hand just 4:29 into the game.

The story from the Cowgirls' point of view: http://wyomingathletics.cstv.com/spo...wnit-2007.html

Congrats to the Cowgirls. I always feel a little better knowing that only the eventual champion beat us.

Thanks. 2007-08 looks to be great! A shot at a appearance in the NCAA Tournament looks to happen.

If it does, it'll our FIRST for the Cowgirls.

Here's to a long and mutually beneficial rivalry between the Jackrabbits and the Cowgirls. I hope we play each other again, and make each other better. Let's go get Tennessee! (Snookums is in bed, so I can say things like that )

It appears the Cowboys also won a logo battle.

Here's my problem with that. The high school could've filled out an application to use the cowboy logo with the State of Wyoming's O.K. and pay something like $50 per year to use it.

The state owns the copyright, not the university.
