Backing up the 3 point line for Men BB

I guess we'll be seeing two three-point lines at Frost IN '08 -'09.
I'm undecided about this rule change...any thoughts??

Is this the same size of the experimental line that they use in the preseason tournaments?

As far as moving it back I have mixed feelings, if its only a foot I don't think its that big of a deal but if they move it back any further I would be against it. The small 3 point line allows for the 20-2 runs that college basketball is known for, you're never really out of the game if you have a sharp-shooter.

I would say there are very few people, especially coaches who would like to see the jump ball come back. It would slow down the game and most referees don't throw it up straight anyway.

I think most players would like the jump ball and most fans also... Dickey V. wants the jump ball back ;D.... The thing that erks me more then anything is when a deffensive player makes a great play the refs call a jump and the possesion goes right back to the team that just lost the ball...

No jump ball! 'Rock, paper, scissors' would be more entertaining than a jump ball and probably keep the game pace about the same.

This year in Canada they are going with FIBA RULES, 24 SEC SHOT CLOCK, should make the Canadians run a little faster, which is a good thing ;D
