Airport authority to waive fees as incentive for new airline

New airlines moving into Sioux Falls next year won't have to pay landing and rent fees, the Sioux Falls Regional Airport Authority unanimously decided Thursday.
The offer, while being extended to any new airline, is generally being targeted toward Frontier Airlines, which has asked Sioux Falls and other communities for proposals as the airline decides where to expand, said Mike Marnach, executive director of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport.
“We want to motivate Frontier to come here sooner rather than later,” Marnach told members of the Airport Authority on Thursday. . . . (read more)
