      Congratulations to Brad! Well deserved!

SDSU needs to do something to recognize Jackrabbit players of the week in Volleyball, Soccer, Crosscountry, Ect.

Without a conference the rest of our teams are going to miss out unless we do some special recognition to offset. What do you think?

The SDSU Soccer web page has a newsrelease that Jenn Davis was selected as Division I independent defensive player of the week by representatives from the nine independent schools. The link is below. I would guess that similar awards will be made in the other sports during the year. May not be a conference but it still provides some recognition during the transition era.

I think we need to recognize Coauette for his honorable mention, nice game Chris. Any guy with 4 vowels in a row in his name deserves some recognition.

                  Honorable Mention

Kyle Shotwell, Cal Poly- 10 tackles, 2 for loss, 2 forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one sack.

Ryan Palmer, LB, Northern Colorado- 12 tackles, 1.5 for loss

                  Allan Burrell, WR, North Dakota State- 5 catches, 101 yards, 2 td's (48, 31), 1 rush 12 yds.

Chris Coauette, LB, South Dakota State- 10 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 interception, 1 sack
