St. Paul, Minn.: Southwest Minnesota State University redshirt freshman quarterback Adrian Headen (Omaha, Neb.) was named on Monday the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Newcomer of the Year as the NSIC announced its all-conference team this afternoon in a vote of the NSIC’s coaches.

Your welcome. The story I got was that Adrian was behind Andy Kardoes second string QB in the depth chart after spring ball. Kardoes is a red shirt freshman as is Adrian Headen so his transferring to SMSU is understandable as he would have had to work very hard to beat Kardoes out of playing time. Whether its players or coaches leaving SDSU for SMSU, the replacements have worked out okay for SDSU, so nothing has been lost.
