    Re: GWFC standings

Taking a look at the other conference standings and look at the teams that beat us.

Montana: 4-1 with lone loss to DI Oregon (Pac-10 Conf.)
Cal Poly: 5-1 with lone loss to DI Troy (Sunbelt Conf.)
Texas St: 4-1 with lone loss to DI Texas AM (Big 12 Conf.)

We have alot to be proud of with what this team is accomplishing this year. They may be "moral" victories, but we clearly have one of, if not THE toughest schedule in DIAA this season.

THE toughest schedule in d1aa? You have a d3 team and d2 team and a non-scholie 1aa team that could have lost to the d3 team. That's not very tough. The 1aa teams that you did schedule are tough, but not even close to the toughest schedule in 1aa.

        Let's look at Massey:
        http://www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf

        SDSU (#153):
        #250 Wisconsin-La Crosse
        #591 Valparaiso
        #70 Montana
        #68 Cal Poly
        #101 Texas State
        #152 UC Davis
        #408 Missouri-Rolla
        #109 Georgia Southern
        #339 Southern Utah
        #121 NDSU
        #226 UNC

        UNC (#226):
        #300 Colorado Mines
        #238 Western Illinois
        #274 SE Louisiana
        #132 Portland State
        #68 Cal Poly
        #339 Southern Utah
        #283 Ft. Lewis
        #121 NDSU
        #190 Sam Houston State
        #153 SDSU
        #152 UC Davis

Schedule to date--SDSU's opponents average ranking #205, UNC's opponents #202.

        Complete schedule--SDSU's opponents #221, UNC's opponents #204.

Look at it this way: you're #226, which means UNC is slightly below average of the schools SDSU will play this year. SDSU on the other hand is #153, one of UNC's tougher opponents of the year.

Yep, you've got a tougher schedule, all right. Sucks to be you.

Ok, if you want to use Massey ratings, actually use the ratings for DIAA teams, since thats what we are. If you really want to throw in Lacrosse, Valpo, and Rolla, I guess thats your call, but if you look only at the DIAA schollie teams on both of our schedules you get my point.

I call shenanigan's on that. Yes you have a tough schedule but the toughest. Those d2's and 3's at home really soften it up. I'm not saying ndsu has the toughest either but we are playing 3 top 10 programs and 1 top 20 all at their house.

Who ever said UNC has tougher schedule? I never did. Do you know how to read? Jacks02 said that the bunnies have THE toughest schedule and I totally disagree with that because of the lower level schools you scheduled.

Ummm...you can't really not count Lacrosse, Valpo and Rolla. They're on your schedule and I don't think the Massy ratings don't count those d2 teams. I agree with Bisonmike that it really softens your schedule.

Why would you imagine that its relevant what you think about our schedule? Outside of getting drilled when your team travels to CAS in mid-November the rest isn't your business.

As I mentioned, props for scheduling some good 1aa teams, but you can't ignore your d3, d2 and non-scholie teams on your schedule.

how bout 5 out of the top 15? Only 2 true home games? Powder Puff teams or not that's near the top if not the toughest schedule.

If you disagree, please find the worse schedules.

The out of division games SDSU plays dont affect the conference. Both schedules are good if only because of the GWFC schools. Right now the standings sure dont show us who the best teams are. Its a fortunate week for SDSU they are looking good and rightly proud of it. I hope it doesnt stay that way.

NDSU still has a shot at the #1 team in the country. I think we will be going into that game on the heels of the victories over UNC and SDSU in the Fabulous Fargo Dome. Its going to be a great run and everyone up here is looking forward to it. Lot of football till then though. Good luck. 8)
