    Re: Final 2005 GPI

Hey not bad 37 out of 120, were coming along. The GWFL was 5th and had 3 teams in top 25 not bad for a confrence with only 6 teams.

The final 2005 Gridiron Power Index (GPI), the BCS-style ranking for I-AA and top indicator of at-large playoff selection has national champion Appalachian State No. 1. The Gateway Football Conference is the top ranked Conference. I-AA's largest conference, the Atlantic 10 placed five of their teams in the top 25; the Big Sky and Gateway Football Conferences placed four each; the Great West Football and Southern Conferences placed three apiece; the Southland Conference placed two and the Ivy League, Mid-Eastern Athletic, Ohio Valley and Southwestern Athletic Conferences placed one team each.

There was some disucssion on this over on anygivensaturday.com but what if UNC would have counted for the Big Sky and not counted against the Great West. We probably would have flip-flopped with them.
