Tarvaris Jackson is the Top 2006 NFL Draftee from I-AA

Tarvaris Jackson, QB from Alabama State was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings with the 32nd pick of the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. He was the 64th overall pick. His selection was only the ninth top two round draft pick by the NFL from I-AA in recent years. 16 combined were selected.
Four more selections from I-AA joined Jackson on the first day by being drafted in the third round. Paul McQuistan, Chris Gocong, David Pittman and Jason Hatcher were also first day picks. . . . (read more)
