    Re: 2007 Depth Chart

    Something to think about:
    Returning players that were on Great West Teams.
    CP - 3 first teamers
    NDSU - 4 first teamers
    UCD - 4 first teamers, 1 second teamer
    SU - , 6 second teamers, 1 honorable mention
    SDSU - 3 first teamers, 6 second teamers, 3 honorable mentions

    If you break that down into a points system, 3 points for 1st team, 2 for 2nd team and 1 for Honorable Mention it would look like this.

    SDSU =24
    UCD =14
    SU =13
    NDSU =12
    CP =9

    Only 103 days to go!

      Something horribly incorrect with these numbers, especially Poly's, and NDSU's. Where are they from? The one I remember seeing was much more NDSU strong.

        Remember, the numbers above represent a points system based on the number of returning players.

          NDSU did have an Honorable Mention.

          The breakdown would then be:

          SDSU 24
          UCD 14
          SUU 13
          NDSU 13
          CP 9

          Nice analysis though.

            IMHO this is the most talented and deepest defensive line I have seen at SDSU. They will need to create chaos against a very tough schedule.

              I agree.

              We do have a few question marks on the offensive side and maybe defensive backfield but no doubt we should hold our own and dominate from time to time at the line of scrimmage.

              There are alot of juniours and sophomores in the starting lineup listed above, and a ton of freshman as reserves, we are setting up nicely for a playoff push in the first year of eligibility.

                Tough schedule is right. I'm hoping Stig can develop an offense that lets our talented defense get some rest against some very talented offensive teams on the schedule.

                  Can anyone confirm if Devin Pruett is still on the team as he doesn't appear on the 2007 roster. I think someone had earlier indicated Brad Herman will not return.
