    Roosevelt's Wallin signs with SDSU

    WRESTLING: Roosevelt's Thad Wallin, state Class A champ at 140 pounds, has signed with South Dakota State. Wallin was 45-1 as a senior and finished his career with a 213-39 record, second on the all-time list for wins in Class A. He set the Class A record for pins with 111.

    Jacks sign another state champion this time he is a North Dakotan.

    Jacks Sign Another Wrestler

    James Covington . . .from Grand Forks, ND, Red River High School has signed a letter of intent indicating he will enroll at South Dakota State and participate in the Jackrabbit wrestling program.

    Covington was a third place finisher in the state meet as a junior and senior after winning the state title as a sophomore, all at 135 pounds. He is projected at 133 or 141 pounds by SDSU coach Jason Liles.

      Excellent, I've followed SDSU wrestling since I was about 10 years old (1976). It sounds like were reloading after a couple of down or rebuilding years. SDSU and NDSU for that matter, can really make an impact on D1 collegiant wrestling in the future.
