Nebraska native gets first Div. I win in home state

    For the Register

South Dakota State University picked up its first women's soccer victory since making the transition to the NCAA Division I level on Sunday when it downed Western Illinois, 2-0, at the Diadora Classic in Omaha, Neb. The win just happened to come in Nebraska, the home-state of the captain of the team Alissa Bernth, a senior from Ralston.
"It feels great to be a part of the team and have an impact on the SDSU soccer program. It's great being part of it and being able to contribute," commented Bernth, who has been a starter for four seasons for the Jackrabbits.  .  .  .

Really good article, well worth the read. Alissa sounds like a great Jackrabbit!

    Go State! ;D
