Here is the skinny about the Owls, could be a tough game.

Owls Ranked 22nd in Preseason Poll

KENNESAW, GEORGIA - The Kennesaw State men's basketball team is ranked 22nd in the nation in the NCAA Division II preseason poll released Friday morning. It is the first time the Owls have ever been ranked in the national polls at the start of the season.

The Owls join Columbus State, who is ranked 18th, as the only two Peach Belt Conference members in the poll.

KSU is coming off their most successful season ever last year, going 25-10 and making it to the NCAA Division II Tournament as a No. 3 seed. They broke into the national polls for the first time ever and had the first-ever back-to-back twenty win seasons in the program's history.

With seven players returning from last year's team, including Peach Belt Player-of-the-Year Terrence Hill and Freshman-of-the-Year Georgy Joseph, the Owls are expecting another solid season.

The Owls begin the season at the Disney Tip-off Classic in Orlando, Florida on November 7 against Northern Kentucky.

I wonder will former faculty show up for this game?
Namely Newton Ginnrich, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives. He probably hates basketball, since he cant get the floor and would have to share it with the refs and players ;D

At the half SDSU 22 Kennesaw 21. The Owls have done a great job of slowing us down. They are playing a great zone. We need to find a way to run in the second half.

      Go Jacks!

Up by 10 with 12:34 left in the game.  The SDSU faithful are making some noise down in Fla.  Don't know how many are at the game but you can hear them on the radio broadcast!  We have great fans!   ;D

        Go State!

Jacks 63-50, final. Sounded like the Jacks basically ran away from them in the second half.

They corrected the offical score. Final SDSU65 KSU 50!  Jacks are 2-0 on the young season. Jacks had a great second half.
