Anyone else hearing the rumor Van Ginkel will have to sit out a year at Iowa Western Community College because his transfer from USD to IWCC is a move up a division?

If his plan is to enroll at another MVFC school, he can play right away at IWCC.

My guess - with his redshirt year already used - this is the only way to play yet this fall and have 2 years left presumably at an FBS school. IWCC sends a HUGE number of kids up - I think maybe something like a dozen in December alone... and then more signees coming out of the spring.

Word is during the State/U game in Verm this year an SDSU player told Gink "YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE FROM HERE" and Gink's response was "READY TO LAUNCH".

Was looking at 247 Sports recruiting site where "experts" make predictions about where recruits will end up. The two people with predictions for Van Ginkel both have him ending up at Minnesota. The Gophers have signed a number of Iowa Western grads in the past few years.
