Mengarelli gets an honorable mention but not a word on Weineke. What am I missing here? Bouma had a great game but really. Weineke was all over, what doesn't show up in the stat line is how well he run blocks. I counted 3 of Brady's run that went 10+ more yds because of Jake. Oh well it's not about the accolades for them but for us fans its at least nice if they get recognized.

I might also mention it's a shame Lujan was left out. Great game, I am impressed with how much stronger his arm is.

I agree. Jake deserved the award this week. At least a mention. He is an absolute monster. I'm glad he's a Jackrabbit.

Probably because its not a surprise he did this. Still a litle odd not even a mention.

Its hard for a fan such as myself to concentrate on the many things going on at the field level. I had never noticed a Weineke block, that is something I will be watching for in the next game. It is disappointing that our stand outs did not get the recognition they deserve, but its not the end of the world. I feel good about being 2-0. As the season goes on and our guys continue to shine, they will get the recognition.

I think there is only one nomination per team per award, hence why Wieneke and Lujan are not mentioned even though they are deserving. Not sure who does the nominating, but it could have been as simple as Wieneke is a monster every week, where as for Mengarelli, this might be considered the game in which he is finally putting the Valley on notice.
