Going into last match, jacks are down 17-14.

NDSU gets a pin in HWT match. Jacks lose 23-14.

        Re: Bison

My initial response was that we've still come a long way and this is an improvement. Then I looked at the losses at 141 and 149 and thought that if we had won those we'd had won the match 20 - 17. However, while Bengston and Ream are both young wrestlers, they were both top 100 recruits coming out of high school. Those are not bad losses.

I did find it interesting that 6 of the 10 matches had ranked wrestlers. There was a lot of quality wrestlers competing on the mat in Fargo. Both programs have improved and that is good for both programs futures. We will be winning matches like this in the future!

I was a little surprised both Holler and Kocer lost, but Kocer missed a bunch of time with an injury. Last weekend was his first action of the season. In the weekly Jackup segment on Gojacks, Bono commented that Kocer would have some ups and downs. Hopefully he can reverse that score next time around.

Yes we are. Catching up with a program that was destroying us in D-1 era, is a tough task, but we are definitely more competitive now...and they are still a very good team.

Possibly 3 (or more) all-Americans wrestled today. Pack (SDSU) at 157, Zilmer (NDSU) at 184 and Knutson (NDSU) at 285. Zilmer was impressive.

Should also be noted that we broke the attendence recored set last week vs. Stanford today.
