Fact is, without a break last year UNI would have beat them and ended the streak 16 games earlier. Nothing changes for the Bison with that defense they should still be the favorites for the title but, as we have proved time and again, fans do need something to get themselves in a tizzy about.

I'm sure the loss has something to do with referees or advertising in the stadium or piped in noise or a crappy hotel or porta potties.

Perhaps the players were distracted by all the "NDSU belongs in FBS" talk. That topic seems to have suddenly gone quiet. Funny how an absolute beatdown from a team that might not even make the playoffs will do that.
