Thielbar pitched the 9th had a 3 up and 3 down inning. Along with his 2-0 record he has 5 k's, 2 bb in 9+ innings pitched and the lowest era on the team at 1.86. Been pretty impressive.

Caleb just pitched a 1. 2. 3. Inning in Yankee Stadium.

Listened the game while driving to your side of the state, WRJack. Except for getting roughed up in Seattle, Thielbar continues to do a great job.

Nice story on ESPN about Caleb Thielbar and his mother.

Growing up on a dairy farm near Randolph, Minnesota, Janet Johnston Thielbar loved baseball. She and her brothers would do their chores in the morning, eat lunch and then go play baseball. She would go to bed with the transistor radio under her pillow and fall asleep to the sound of Herb Carneal describing the play of Harmon Killebrew and the Twins.

Thielbar was up in Fargo for Twins Winter Caravan.

Thielbar saw limited action from the bullpen for the Twins over the past weekend against the Reds. (4/17 and 4/18)

                  Stats: 1 IP, 1 SO, 1 H, 0.0 ERA

I know a slip, but I think the Twins were playing the Cleveland Indians. At least that is what saw on my TV. Won 7-2. Was playing hand and foot (a Canasta game) and watching the game both so I could be wrong too.

T-Bar is on the Twins 60-man player pool.
In the days leading up to Monday's announcement of the Twins' player pool for the 2020 season, team leaders noted that they would focus on building a roster of players who were at or near the Major League level in order to maximize their immediate winning potential.

Thielbar got his first action of the year for the Twins yesterday. Took the mound to start the 7th and pitched 2.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs in the 9th, otherwise I think they would've let him close out the game.

An emotional interview from Thielbar following yesterday's appearance. Great to see him get another opportunity after five years of hard work!
