  • SDSU Wrestlers at NCAAl Championships

Automatic qualifiers for SDSU were Alex Kocer at 149 and Cody Pack at 157. Joseph Brewster earned an at-large bid at 165. Kocer is unseeded and faces the #1 seed Drake Houdashelt from Mizzou, Pack is seeded 15th and faces unseeded Aaron Walker from Citadel, and Brewster is unseeded and faces 2012 Dan Hodge Trophy Winner #1 seed David Taylor in the first round. SDSU has never had more than one qualifier before this year and the Jacks have 3 including an at-large bid. The wrestling program is moving on up!

Would like to see SDSU keep improving like NDSU has been. Better for everyone.

Tough day for the Rabbits at the NCAA Championships.

Alex Kocur lost a pair of major decisions. The first was against the #1 seed from Missouri, the other to Arthur of Clarion.

Cody Pack lost to an Oklahoma grappler 9-7 and was pinned by Aaron Walker of Citadel at the 5:25 mark.

Joe Brewster battled halfway into the 2nd period before getting pinned by the top ranked 165 ponder from Penn State. He then lost 5-2 in the consolation bracket.

It was end of first. College has 3min first periods. Also, he took down David Taylor so that is an accomplishment on its on. (Taylor will never be as good as Dake)
