  • SIU beats UNI

SIU knocked off UNI 24-17 at the dome. Turning out to be a pretty good road trip for SIU, beating two top ten teams.

How does SIU follow the NDSU game 2 weeks in a row?

Luck? They certainly made the most of it. Will probably jump into top 10 or darn close.

This just shows that EVERY team (excluding the Bison of course) is beatable. Have to show up every game or expect to lose.

They certainly have earned that kind of jump - even if they did it at home. Very impressive.

            Sagarin's computer, after Saturday 10/12, has the Bison #1 (75.84), N. Ia. #3 (71.39), YSU #9 (64.95), S. Ill. # 10 (64.74) and the Jacks #17 (60.33).

Maybe SIU isn't as bad as many posters here thought they were, and maybe the Jackrabbits close loss against them wasn't nearly as bad as people thought it was.

Not saying they EVER want to lose a game, just saying that SIU appears to be pretty dang good. And UNI had NDSU on the ropes the week before.

So what your saying is we are going to lose to uni at home then?

I think it depends on what Jacks Offense and what Jacks Defense shows up. We have to play more cohesive on both sides of the ball and certainly need to have both units perform well (Special teams as well).

The changes with Schenider and Butler back are huge positives. But we always seem to struggle with UNI, I think Farley has our number, we just never seem to play well against um. Except for like maybe 4 years ago? we did well then but usually it seems its not as close of a game and they will rather easily. hopefully the team is starting to get things figured out. last weeek was a good change, Hopefully SIU can ruin NDSU perfect season.

I watched UNI play the Bison and the Panthers looked really good. Farley's son broke his leg, he was a key defensive player so that will hurt them. Sounds like they are generally beat up right but i'm sure they will get most of them back by the time we play them.
