ecap to come later today or maybe tomorrow. The Men's Distance Medley Relay (1200,400,800,1600) did set the school record but missed the state record held by USD '07 by less than a half second. The team consisted of Mike Krsnak, Jared Foote, Dom Thielen, and Jake Schneller.

2:58, 48 high, 1:53 low, 4:10. From tfrrs.org they are ranked 19th in the country.

I had 2:59 high, 48 low, 1:53 flat and 4:09 low. They probably would have run faster switching the first and last legs and with more teams to push the last two legs.

Sorry for the lack of recap, I've been busy. Maybe tonight still.

Question for you Jacksdistance, Do you think we can ever get to competitive level as NDSU on the track (not necessarily X-country, because I think we are right there or better) w/out better facilities. If we were to get better facilities will that help w/ recruitment?

Re: Jackrabbits Back to Ames for ISU Classic

There will be an announcement soon regarding facilities and yes, they would help greatly. Us distance runners don't need facilities nearly as much and that is why our XC teams are usually better than the Bison. However, to an athlete who will spend almost all of their practice time indoors from November through March it just looks a lot better to have indoor facilities. Everything else about our programs is fairly comparable and I'm convinced that the only piece missing to our puzzle is the indoor facility.
