Games ends 17-1 via the 10 run rule after 7 innings in a game protested by SUU for the use of an illegal bat. SUU claims the bat is illegal, the umpires say it was altered. Protest more than likely will not hold up.

Did said bat drive in all or most of the 17 runs?

3 out of 4 works for me. Still in 1st place all by ourselves.

NDSU and ORU splint Jacks up two games. 10-2 versus 8-4 for both ORU and NDSU.

If the SUU protests and the umps say the bat was altered, how would the protest not hold up?

Sounds like the victory will be held up. Now for the review staff to say the same.

A late addition (haven't been on the board for awhile), but the umps ruled the bat was altered (can be taken out of play) and not illegal (which would have nullified the hit and the runs and the inning would have been over). SUU's protest was that the umpire ruling was wrong and the bat was illegal. The umpires' ruling was upheld by the league.
