  • Krsnak wins Oz Memorial/Men 2nd/Women 4th

Here is the write up from gojacks.com with links to the results at the top.

Nice win for Krsnak. Drake won the men's title, and Minnesota won the women's walking away as expected.

Drake was unexpectedly strong. Another decent team in the Midwest Region. NDSU faired well in the 6k, the Jacks typically are more successful at the 8k compared to their Northern counterparts. USD has a young team and it will show this year. They will definitely be a decent team in the coming years. Training is going well for the Jacks and we are gearing up for a successful Griak and beyond.

Doesn't Drake typically field one of the better cross-country/track teams in the area?

In recent years they have been down. Their top runner at this race was a true freshmen, second runner was a transfer from New Zealand, third runner was injured all of last year. Their 4th and 5th were Juniors that had good races and 2 more Freshmen rounded out their top 7. In conclusion, they brought in some good recruits and have things rolling in their favor right now.
