SDSU Assistant AD for Development Mike Burgers led my wife and I around to some of the new facilities on the SDSU campus. Here are some pictures of the new dedicated rooms for the men's basketball team, shown to us by head coach Scott Nagy himself. First, the team lounge, which still had that new-room smell (and since it's only been done for a couple of weeks, that only makes sense!) I didn't get nearly as many pictures of the guys' digs as I did of the women's rooms, mainly because the guys haven't been in their new off-court home for as long as the women have. Anyway, here's a peek:

More after the jump . . .

Comfy couches and chairs with kitchenette behind

The yellow and blue carpet checkerboard is a nice touch.

The women's team room had the same checkerboard, but I forgot to take a picture of it there.

Finally, because people have been interested, a shot--not the best one--of the new stairs on the southwest side of Frost Arena--which will ultimately be the main entrance for the students:

SDSU has done quite a bit, seen and unseen, to improve things dramatically for the student athlete since the Division II days. And the work continues, with the help of all of the friends, donors, and benefactors of SDSU. Keep those nickels and dimes rolling in!
